CArtorque: Vol 1 - ‘nice to meet you’
Hello and welcome, it is with great joy and excitement that I bring you to the first iteration of CarTorque.
What is CarTorque? I hear you ask, well I’ll assume you’ve had some time to navigate around the site and got to grips with the basis of what we are, but I will now attempt to fill in any sort of blank spots and shed more light onto some of the briefly touched on topics.
First things first introductions are in order, My name is Adam Woodruff, I am one of the writers here at CarTorque - and you can expect to be seeing/hearing from me quite a lot, whether it be through reviews, upcoming videos or just having a conversation with you through what you’re reading right now (which I’ll touch on soon). I’m not the only one you’ll be hearing from however, unfortunately we have other writers that like to share their views too, so some weeks you’ll just have to miss me and await my return but return I will.
Now it’s important I explain to you what it is you’re actually reading right now, and as the title shows, this is the first volume of CarTorque, our main segment of the site - this is a weekly segment releasing every Saturday at 12pm, that is 12pm in the UK so if you’re one of those burger consuming shotgun wielding Americans you’ll have to catch it a little later on, but hey that gives you plenty of time to cook a lovely steak and then cover it in cheese.
CarTorque won’t be the only segment you’ll be able to get accustomed to and those new segments will be arriving shortly. However, for the other segments I think just for now we’ll keep our cards close to our chest, I have been allowed to give you a little insight on our first story piece though - 80 year old chain smokers and 17 year olds looking for cheap insurance can rejoice as our first piece will be ‘French cars, the weird and wonderful’.
It’s important you understand that whether it be a story piece or a review it would be unlikely to hear any sort of car noodle speak on topics like how to know if your camshafts are camshafting or what’s my gearbox’s favourite colour, if you want to know about all that go speak to your local mechanic because to tell the truth we’ve no idea. Our aim is to provide our honest opinions on cars and the car world while also delivering you with some entertainment for the weekend.
I’m going to keep this first entry brief, I could go on forever but it’s best I don’t, besides it’s my lunch break soon. I hope I have explained in more depth for you to understand, I also look forward to conversating with you again in the next volume of CarTorque, unless that is you own a KIA if you’re a KIA owner and reading this right now please leave our site and never return as things may get pretty hurtful for your terrible choice of car.
